Job description

My Defence industry client is looking for production technicians for several key positions within their Bristol offices. This is a flexible working position.

Overview: Follow defined processes and procedures to assemble, inspect, test, strip, survey, repair products in the company’s product range. Work efficiently to ensure that tasks are executed accurately to meet the requirements and specifications of the product, whilst also meeting production targets. Work in accordance with company Policies, Processes, and Procedures, including Health & Safety, Quality Assurance, and Security requirements.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for assembling, inspecting, and testing products to ensure they meet specifications in accordance with defined procedures and processes, including reporting any issues encountered.
  • Responsible for disassembly, survey, inspection, documentation, and repairing of products.
  • Complete training to achieve necessary knowledge and approvals to perform the tasks. Where permitted, train others and provide support.
  • Read, interpret, and follow technical engineering documents required to complete tasks.
  • Follow instructions & documentation precisely. Adhere to industry standards, regulations, and company processes. Report issues when compliance cannot be achieved.
  • Maintain a clean and safe workplace. Follow processes to manage FOD (Foreign Object Debris), Tool Control, Electrostatic Discharge, and Asset Security.
  • Use resources efficiently to manage workload and minimize waste.
  • Participate in health & safety training and perform safety roles as needed (e.g., fire marshal). Take responsibility for personal and team health and safety. Cooperate with managers to meet health, safety, and environmental obligations.
  • Identify issues and engage in problem-solving activities. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and calibration tasks, reporting issues found.
  • Maintain records of assembly, testing, inspections, and issues using company systems for accurate reporting.
