Job description

Holt Engineering are currently working with a close knit family run manufacturing company based in Winchester.

Who are currently looking for a Production Technician to work alongside the Production team leader and operating machinery to high standards.

The Production Technician is paying £27,000 - £28,000 per Annum.

Working Monday to Friday 7:30am-4pm.

Duties for the Production Technician:

1. Operate plant and equipment to mix, manufacture, transfer, and pack product.
2. Packaging of finished products to company standards.
3. Handling / manufacturing products and raw materials.
4. Use of manual handling equipment available for moving heavy materials.
5. Maintain high levels of hygiene and housekeeping.
6. Ensure that when products are transferred to other Departments, they are in a suitable fit for purpose condition that meets the customers' expectations.
7. Dealing with reports and paperwork to a high standard.

To be a Successful Production Technician:

1. Numerate and literate.
2. Operate basic processes and equipment.
3. A good understanding of quality control systems.
4. An understanding of food hygiene.
5. Experience within a manufacturing environment.
6. Operation of some detailed plant operations.
7. Experience of manufacturing processes.
8. Technical knowledge of production processes.
9. Technical understanding of complex equipment.
10. A knowledge of basic planning systems and demonstrated competence with task allocation.
11. Experience with training and development of new employees.
12. The ability to communicate openly with multiple functions across the business.
13. Previous work experience in a BRCGS environment (Desirable).
