Recruit4staff are proud to be representing their client, a leading food manufacturing company, in their search for a Production Technician to work in their leading facility in Telford.

Requirements

MUST BE HAPPY TO ATTEND PSYCHOMETRIC TESTING AT FIRST STAGE.

For the successful Production Technician, our client is offering:

• Starting salary of £31,600, rising with experience/competence; if you can run all processes, it can rise to £41,220
• 4 on 4 off, 12-hour shifts rotating days and nights, 07:25 - 19:35 / 19:35 - 07:25
• Permanent role

Responsibilities:

• Operate machinery, identify faults, investigate issues, and solve problems to prevent downtime
• Ensure 100% compliance with Food Safety, Quality, and Health & Safety standards
• Run the line according to standard operating procedures, including start-up and changeovers
• Lead a line with machine operators, providing training and driving performance
• Liaise with development teams for process improvements and continuous enhancement
• Own the production line's performance, ensuring efficient operation and full control

Candidate Requirements:

• Strong technical mindset, enjoys working with, setting, and operating machinery (ESSENTIAL)
• Technical problem-solving skills, proactive in ensuring delivery
• Experience with changeovers and basic machine maintenance (ESSENTIAL)
• Interest in learning new techniques and technology, with a drive for continuous improvement and lean manufacturing
• Effective communication skills, able to listen and give clear instructions, confident in challenging situations
• Experience in the food or processing industry is preferred but not essential
• Willingness to attend numerical and verbal reasoning tests (ESSENTIAL)
