Job Title: Production Technician

Location: Rochester

Salary: Up to £30,226 + Shift Incentive

What you'll be doing:

• 2 x 11.75 hour day shifts, 2 x 11.75 hour night shifts followed by 4 rest days
• Day shift hours of work are 7am to 7.15pm with a ½hr meal break. Night shift hours are 7pm to 7.15am with a ½ hr meal break.
• Each shift consists of 3 Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) Technicians, operating test chambers and vibration equipment in the 4 separate areas of ESS
• Technicians are required to set-up test chambers and vibration equipment, loading of test jigs, setting up of and operating test equipment (as defined in a test specification), and loading test subjects
• Manual Handling of loads
• Handling of static sensitive components (Training given)

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

• Shift Experience

Desirable:

• Experience with the defence, aerospace or electronics industry
• Familiar with the use of thermal chambers or vibration systems
• Mechanical acumen
• Electronic test experience

The ESS Team:

As an Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) Technician, you will be part of a team of technicians responsible for supervising/operating environmental test facilities used to screen manufacturing defects on deliverable product, by carrying out temperature and vibration testing.
