Job description

Job Title: Production Technician

Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) is a distinctive institution rooted in the Liverpool City Region with a global presence. Our community includes students and staff who are integral to every industry and community, shaping and supporting the city of Liverpool.

Role Overview: The successful candidate will assist the Senior Technician in preparing and delivering practical demonstrations, including timetabled sessions, workshops, and demonstrations of production technologies such as Adobe Creative Suite, Premiere Pro, Audition, InDesign, and After Effects.

Responsibilities:

  1. Support the daily operations of designated spaces, including booking and using specialist equipment and facilities.
  2. Operate video and DSLR cameras, audio recording devices, and portable lighting equipment.
  3. Work effectively in workshops, studios, or similar environments.

Qualifications and Experience: Experience with video production, camera operation, and working in a production environment within Higher Education is necessary.

Additional Information: Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.
