Job description

WIKA Optical Sensing Ltd, formerly Oxsensis, was acquired by WIKA in 2023 and specializes in optical sensing technology for pressure and temperature measurement.

Your Activities:

  • Lapping and polishing sapphire components to fine tolerances and finishes.
  • Performing detailed metrology, maintenance, and calibration in a clean-room environment.
  • Conducting acid cleaning, thermo-compression bonding, potting, and basic mechanical assembly of optical sensor components.
  • Participating in R&D and production work in a small organization.
  • Managing laboratory tools and equipment, including cleaning and maintenance.
  • Taking measurements and verifying product conformance with microscopes and inspection tools.
  • Cleaning using various chemicals, including solvents and acids.

Your Profile:

  • Production or Laboratory Technician experience; open to junior technicians or graduates.
  • Hands-on skills with hand tools and manual dexterity.
  • Experience in a cleanroom environment, such as a laboratory.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and ability to work with small tools and components like optics, microscopes, tweezers, and verniers.
  • Experience with detailed metrology, basic machine maintenance, and calibration.
  • Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and follow processes.
  • Basic IT skills (Word, Excel); knowledge of production control software is a plus but not essential.
