Are you looking for an exciting new opportunity? We are GROWING and are recruiting for the role of a Production Operative to join the team at Toyota Motor Manufacturing UK (TMUK).

FULL TIME POSITION • Deeside Plant • £32,387 per annum

Role location and scope

You’ll work in one of TMUK’s key production areas — Assembly, Production Control, Casting or Machining.

Responsibilities

• Directly involved in manufacturing of parts
• Responsible for confirming quality, and inspection
• Take ownership for improving the condition of your process
• Raise and implement improvement ideas

Pay, hours and shift pattern

• Pay rates: £15.97 per hour including average shift premium; £32,387 per annum
• Base rate: £13.59 per hour
• Shift allowances: +£0.68 per hour (Days); +£4.08 per hour (Nights)
• Overtime paid at a premium: time and a half for the first two hours, then time and a half thereafter

• Hours: 39 hours per week, two-shift pattern, rotating every two weeks
• Days: 07:30 – 15:48
• Nights: 20:30 – 04:48
• Briefing: 15-minute briefing before the start of each shift
• Overtime may be required during high volumes, including occasional weekend overtime

Who we’re looking for

• Ability to follow standardized work and reproduce consistent quality
• Good hand dexterity and physical stamina for repetitive tasks
• Experience in a labour-intensive role where being on your feet is normal
• Ability to maintain concentration on highly repetitive tasks
• Willingness to learn and adapt across processes and machinery
• Good attention to detail and excellent attendance/timekeeping
• Commitment to producing overtime including weekends
• Enthusiasm and commitment to contribute to the business
• Experience as a production operative, warehouse operative or with standardized work (manufacturing experience desirable but not essential)

You will receive one week of fundamental skills training in the dojo with Toyota-trained instructors to ensure safe practice and to meet daily requirements, followed by ramp-up support on the production line.
