Production Team Leader – Finishing Department

Location: Farnborough
Full Time Permanent (38 Hours per week)
£16.00 - £18.00

We are seeking a driven and experiencedTeam Leaderto oversee a specialist area within our production facility. Working closely with operations management and other cell leaders, you will lead a small, skilled team in a key finishing process, ensuring efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support your team to meet daily production targets and workflow priorities
• Monitor and drive production efficiency in line with staffing and operational demands
• Coordinate staff training, performance reviews, and development plans
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, particularly in finishing techniques and working environment
• Ensure quality standards, lean principles, and H&S compliance are maintained throughout the department
• Track and manage materials inventory, including shelf-life-sensitive products
• Oversee department admin, including BOM updates, purchasing, and budget management
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and 7S implementation
• Manage day-to-day personnel matters including annual leave, conflict resolution, and performance discussions

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience leading a team in a fast-paced, hands-on production or finishing environment
• A proactive mindset with a strong focus on process improvement and team development
• Practical understanding of lean manufacturing principles
• Excellent communication and planning skills
• Prior knowledge of wet or powder finishing processes would be advantageous
