Job summary

Nicholas Associates Group Limited in Heanor is seeking a Production Team Leader - trainee team leader to join our manufacturing unit producing fire seals for Oil & Gas, Marine and Defence sectors. The role includes upholstering mouldings, reading engineering drawings, operating sewing machines, and cutting and marking material to create fire seals.

The successful candidate will have strong communication and organisational skills, be able to follow SOPs, and demonstrate leadership potential.

Qualifications

• Previously worked in a production/manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication with leadership potential.

Do you have previous experience working at supervisory/team lead level OR do you have strong communication and organizational skills with the capability to lead within a Manufacturing/Production environment?

If so then please read on!

The Basics:

• Role: Production team leader - trainee team leader / production
• Location: Heanor
• Hours: Monday-Thursday (7.30am to 4.00pm) and Fridays (7.30am to 1.00pm) (37.5hr) Salary: £13.38 per hour / £26,091 per annum + OT (Paid at x1.5 Mon-Sat and x2 Sun) = earnings of £30,000 and upwards achievable
• Once progressed to Team Leader this would rise to £13.68 per hour.
• Holidays & Pension: 30 days, salary sacrifice pension = 5% individual contribution / 7% company

Overview:

Working for a manufacturing business that make fire seals for the likes of the Oil and Gas industry as well as the Marine and Defence Industry, we now require someone to join the production department.

You will be tasked to upholster bespoke mouldings, reading engineering drawings, operating sewing machines, cutting and marking out to create material fire seals.

The ideal candidate / Production Team Leader may have some of the following, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually:

• Capable of following SOP's and reading engineering drawings
• Previously worked in a production/manufacturing environment
• A strong communicator with good organizational and leadership skills.

Heanor, Alfreton, Ilkeston, Nottingham, Derby and surrounding areas.
