Production Team Leader

Location: Telford

Package: Up to circa £31,000 per annum (including S.A)

Hours: Double days -6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm (Earlier finish on a Friday)

A leading national manufacturing business with multiple sites across the UK is experiencing significant growth at its Telford facility. To support the increasing demand and expanding operations, they are seeking an additional Production Team Leader to strengthen their manufacturing team and oversee a team based within the Press Shop area. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established, fast-paced company that holds a strong reputation in its sector.


The Production Team Leader will be responsible for:

• Managing and leading a team of production and machine operatives
• Ensuring adherence to health & safety regulations and quality standards
• Supporting the onboarding and induction of new employees
• Handling return-to-work meetings and monitoring absences
• Tracking production performance using the ERP system and identifying areas for improvement
• Implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency
• Ensuring all operator training is up to date and compliant
• Assisting the Supervisor in meeting shift performance targets

Skills and Experience
• Proven experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment-such as Team Leader, Supervisor, Line Leader, Press Shop Leader or Senior Operator-is essential
• Familiarity with industrial press operations is highly desirable, though not essential
• Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively
• Confident using IT systems to support production planning, reporting, and team coordination
