Overview:
Futures Recruitment is seeking a proactive and results–driven Production Team Leader for a leading manufacturing client. In this hands–on role, you'll lead a small team to deliver high–quality manufacturing output while ensuring smooth production flow and strong team performance. You'll take ownership of quality, delivery, and cost targets, support lean manufacturing practices, and embed a culture of continuous improvement all while motivating your team to perform at their best.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the team to meet daily targets for quality, delivery, and cost.
• Implement standard work, one–piece flow, and lean principles.
• Conduct daily huddles to review performance metrics and improvement plans.
• Monitor team performance, provide coaching, and take corrective action as needed.
• Maintain visual management tools and ensure accurate real–time documentation.
• Identify and resolve production issues and bottlenecks.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives (5S, problem–solving, Kaizen).
• Oversee training and development of team members.
• Assist on the production line as needed.
• Manage shift start–up, changeovers, staffing, and materials replenishment.
• Ensure accurate ERP system transactions.
• Help maintain stock levels and presentation.
• Contribute to new product introductions and improvements.
• Promote a culture of safety, efficiency, and teamwork.

Requirements:

• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Experience with MRP/ERP systems (Sage preferred).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
• Effective leadership and communication skills.
• Strong problem–solving abilities.
