Job summary

Rhino Products Ltd in Ellesmere Port is seeking a Production Team Leader to drive organisation, delegation and performance on the shop floor. The role requires motivating and mentoring a team while exemplifying leadership across safety, quality, delivery and cost targets.

You will support the Production Manager and play a pivotal role in achieving KPIs and continuous improvement, fostering teamwork and a strong health and safety culture within a busy manufacturing environment.

• Previous experience within a production facility is required.

Responsibilities

• Support the Production Manager and Production Team in the identification and achievement of KPIs, focusing on Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and People.
• Safety: Focus & develop shop floor conditions to ensure safe working practices are adhered to.
• Training safe working practices and take appropriate action where needed.
• Quality: Promote & ensure the quality of the product is checked/maintained at all aspects of its life cycle.
• Delivery: Lead, guide & develop the assigned personnel to deliver products and services in line with customer needs and timing.
• Cost: Lead the team to meet profitability and efficiency targets.
• People: Promote ethical standards of work behaviour and discipline.

The Rhino Products group have an exciting opportunity for a Production Team Leader to join our growing business based at our site in Ellesmere Port.

The Role:

Reporting to the Group Production Manager the Production Team Leader will be required to drive organisation, delegation, management and performance monitoring with a primary function to act as a motivator, supervisor, mentor while leading by example.

You should have a proven track record of leading and motivating a team.

Main Duties:

• Support the Production Manager and Production Team in the identification and achievement of KPIs, focussing on improving the current performance in areas of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and People while promoting the culture of Rhino & AVS to be the best at what we do every time.
• Safety: Focus & develop shop floor conditions to ensure safe working practices are adhered to.
• Training safe working practices & take appropriate action where needed.
• Quality: Promote & ensure the quality of the product is checked/maintained at all aspects of its life cycle e.g.: storage, manufacturing & shipment
• Raise quality concerns and communicate effectively
• Maintain & improve the quality by process
• Delivery: To lead, guide & develop the assigned personnel in achieving the day-to-day targets within the production/support areas to deliver products and services in line with the customer needs, within timing expectations and the long-term success of the organisation.
• Cost: To lead, guid & develop the assigned personnel in achieving the day-to-day targets within the production/support areas to meet profitability and financial targets e.g.; timings/efficiencies.
• People: Ensure an ethical standard of work behaviour and discipline is promoted and maintained in the workplace.

• Job Type: Full-time – Monday – Thursday 7am – 4pm and Friday 7am – 1.30pm – early finish Friday
