Job summary

g&p Group Holdings Ltd is seeking a Production Team Leader to guide a team of quality inspectors and ensure smooth hour-by-hour project delivery at our on-site facility in Chichester, with occasional travel to our partner site in Bognor Regis.

Reporting to the Shift Manager, you will lead 5-10 inspectors, coordinate assignments, ensure tooling and PPE, write work instructions, and support risk assessments to meet customer quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach a team of quality inspectors and storemen.
• Review handover from previous shift and assign tasks accordingly.
• Ensure inspectors have tooling, material flow, PPE and understand Test Plan/WES.
• Control NOK parts and ensure packaging and stacking are correct.
• Work with area supervisor to resolve issues with minimal production impact.
• Support setup of new projects and admin tasks for Customer Protection Team.
• Lead from the front by performing inspection duties when required.

We are currently seeking a Production Team Leader to join our outstanding quality management team based onsite at one of our most prestigious automotive OEM's.

Reporting to the Shift Manager, the Production Team Leader, will be responsible for leading and coaching a team of between 5 - 10 inspectors, which can increase during peak times. You will work along-side management to successfully organise and lead the hour-to-hour function of designated projects within associated G&P areas.

You will also support the Customer Protection Team by assisting with administrative duties, including writing work instructions, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring documentation aligns with customer quality expectations.

This role is based on-site in Chichester, however occasional travel to our partner site in Bognor Regis will be required.

Shift Patterns :

Mon - Fri - 05:30am - 14:45pm , 14:15pm - 23:15pm. Rotating each week

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Leading and coaching a team of quality professionals
• Reviewing handover from previous shift and assigning tasks to the Quality Inspectors and Storemen in accordance.
• Ensuring all inspectors have the relevant tooling, material flow, PPE and understanding to work to the required Test Plan / WES.
• Controlling all NOK parts found during the project, ensuring the packaging and stacking of parts are correct.
• Working alongside the area supervisor to identify and promptly resolve issues, with minimal or no effect to production.
• Supporting on the set up of new projects
• Supporting the Customer Protection Team with admin-related tasks such as drafting work instructions and carrying out risk assessments
• Leading from the front by carrying out inspection duties alongside the team as and when required.

The ideal production team leader will have the following experience:

• Proven leadership skills gained within a Quality Environment
• Computer literate, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to resolve issues promptly, within a professional manner.
• Organised, resilient, with the ability to think outside the box.

Nice to have experience, but not essential:

• Experience gained within Automotive
• Knowledge of writing work instructions
