Job description

Job Title: Production Team Leader
Reports to: Production Manager
Location: Manchester
Working Hours: 07:00-16:00 Monday - Friday

Purpose of the Job:
The purpose of this role is to oversee the quality, planning, and productivity of Pneumatics and related processes,
ensuring operational excellence through effective day-to-day management. This includes leading and motivating the
team, managing scheduling and planning activities, and upholding standards in health and safety, human resources,
and overall productivity. The role also focuses on fostering a culture of discipline and continuous improvement, while
driving enhancements to the work environment infrastructure to support long-term efficiency and team
performance.
Key Responsibilities and Outcomes:

Managing a group of assemblers and overseeing their workload

Planning & scheduling of valves in line with customer demand, backlog and schedule

Work closely with internal planning and purchasing to align parts delivery

Organising internal processes supplying the valve manufacture

Gathering and reporting SQDCP data each day and reporting data to the relevant forum. Execute & escalate actions from tier meeting

To compile and maintain accurate build and test instructions and ensure they are strictly adhered to

To maintain and improve housekeeping standards in the work area (5S)

To suggest and implement efficiency improvements in the area

Maintaining a keen focus on quality

Problem solving issues arising from infrastructure, design and incumbent processes.

The roles and responsibilities may change in line with the business needs and thus the candidate will need to adapt
H&S

Keeping the team safe and equipment maintained and safe

Managing safety spots and corrective actions

Team leaders are responsible for their areas

Health and Safety needs and requirements are to be reported to the supervisors or H&SM directly
Qualifications & Technical knowledge:
