Overview:
Futures Recruitment is seeking a proactive and results-driven Production Team Leader for a leading manufacturing client. In this hands-on role, you'll lead a small team to deliver high-quality manufacturing output while ensuring smooth production flow and strong team performance. You'll take ownership of quality, delivery, and cost targets, support lean manufacturing practices, and embed a culture of continuous improvement — all while motivating your team to perform at their best.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the team to meet daily targets for quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Implement standard work, one-piece flow, and lean principles.
  • Conduct daily huddles to review performance metrics and improvement plans.
  • Monitor team performance, provide coaching, and take corrective action as needed.
  • Maintain visual management tools and ensure accurate real-time documentation.
  • Identify and resolve production issues and bottlenecks.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives (5S, problem-solving, Kaizen).
  • Oversee training and development of team members.
  • Assist on the production line as needed.
  • Manage shift start-up, changeovers, staffing, and materials replenishment.
  • Ensure accurate ERP system transactions.
  • Help maintain stock levels and presentation.
  • Contribute to new product introductions and improvements.
  • Promote a culture of safety, efficiency, and teamwork.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems (Sage preferred).
