With a diverse and dedicated year-round team of around 150 volunteers, we orchestrate Pride in London, the incredible event that unites us all. Your unique voice can contribute to the symphony!

● This role has a flexible start time; however, we would be looking for someone who can start as soon as possible.

● Availability to volunteer on the day of the event (Saturday 5th July) is essential.

● This role carries an average volunteer time of 6-8 hours per week.

Your Role

As a Production Assistant for Soho Square at Pride in London, you'll be the essential link between our artists and our spectacular stage productions. Soho Square is curated by Mzz Kim, a wonderful performer/activist who champions Trans Rights, and it is the stage where we predominantly present Trans/Non-binary artists, and representation. You'll meticulously collect and organize vital performance content—from tracks and lyrics to technical requirements and marketing materials—ensuring our productions run flawlessly. With excellent communication skills, you'll coordinate via email, chase outstanding submissions, and participate in regular team meetings to keep everything on track. Beyond the logistics, you'll embody Pride's values while ensuring our productions authentically represent the diverse LGBT+ community. Your vigilance regarding community challenges will help shape inclusive, meaningful celebrations that truly honour our community. Join our vibrant team to help create Pride's unforgettable performances while developing valuable event production skills.

Your Responsibilities
  • Collecting, monitoring, and recording stage content from artists, including tracks, lyrics, production requirements, marketing information, and other relevant data.
  • Managing information collection mainly via email, requesting and recording all data as it is sent in.
  • Chasing outstanding content.
  • Participating in regular, scheduled team meetings.
  • Providing necessary tools, knowledge, and experience to enable the delivery of plans.
Community
  • Ensuring that production aligns with the interests of the LGBT+ community and promotes diversity and inclusion.
  • Maintaining high awareness of current threats and challenges to the LGBT+ community, advising directors of risks and potential mitigation strategies.
