Job description

We're looking for a Production Support Technician to join a growing manufacturing business in Portsmouth. This role is ideal for someone with experience in electronic or mechanical assembly who enjoys supporting production and improving processes.

You'll be a key link between designs and the production floor, helping to create and manage documents, check parts lists, and support the team in delivering high-quality builds.

Salary & Hours

  • 47k - 52k
  • Competitive salary, depending on experience
  • Full-time, permanent role
  • Monday to Friday, on-site

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain assembly documents to guide production teams
  • Input and check Bills of Materials (BOMs)
  • Ensure configuration control of all documents and packs
  • Support changes to designs and communicate with internal teams
  • Help production teams improve product yields and solve problems
  • Provide feedback on manufacturability to improve future builds
  • Assist in planning efficient methods and processes
  • Support quality activities and audits

Requirements

  • Experience in electronic assembly and reading technical drawings
  • Good understanding of components and production processes
  • Skilled with Microsoft Word; familiarity with MRP systems is a plus
  • Eye for detail, proactive attitude, and good communication skills
