Overview

Production Support Technician - Manufacturing

Location: Denham

Salary: £40,000 - £43,000

An established manufacturing organisation is seeking a Production Support Technician to support their Cell Leaders and Team Leaders in keeping production running smoothly. The role focuses on resolving day-to-day production issues while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with initial fault and reject diagnosis for production stoppages.
  • Determine whether issues can be quickly rectified or require deeper investigation.
  • Perform minor reworks within competency limits where appropriate.
  • Liaise with production engineering and quality teams on more complex issues.
  • Manage job cards, stock repicks, and tooling availability to keep production moving.
  • Support basic production planning tasks and raise engineering requests as needed.
  • Identify recurring issues and contribute to improvement projects.
  • Work collaboratively with multiple cell leaders to resolve cross-area challenges.
  • Undertake any other tasks within competence to minimise production delays.
Essential Skills and Experience
  • Hands-on experience in manufacturing, ideally in assembly or related processes.
  • Understanding of the organisation's product range.
  • Competent in using hand tools and production aids/equipment.
  • Ability to prioritise multiple tasks, remain calm under pressure, and communicate effectively.
  • Motivated, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience with SAP (training will be provided).
