Job summary

Belcan is seeking an experienced Build Support Engineer to join our Airframe Engineering team in Lancashire on a 12-month contract. You’ll provide day-to-day engineering support on the aircraft build line, investigate manufacturing issues, and manage concessions and non-conformances.

The role involves working with CATIA V5 and Teamcenter, reviewing BOMs and documentation, and collaborating with production to keep aircraft production moving while upholding quality and delivery targets.

Qualifications

• Airframe build support and production engineering duties.

• Understanding of metallic/composite aircraft structures.
• Detail part, assembly and installation design concepts.
• Proficient with 3D modelling and drawing interpretation.

Belcan Engineering is seeking an experienced Build Support Engineer to join our Airframe Engineering team, supporting one of the UK's leading aerospace programmes.

This is an exciting opportunity for an engineer who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, enjoys solving technical challenges, and wants to play a key role in keeping aircraft production moving. You'll work at the heart of the build line, providing engineering support, resolving production issues, and delivering timely concession and waiver assessments to ensure quality and delivery targets are achieved.

What You'll Be Doing

• Providing day-to-day engineering support to the aircraft build line
• Investigating and resolving manufacturing and assembly issues
• Assessing and managing concessions, waivers, and non-conformance queries
• Supporting the design and manufacturing teams with practical engineering solutions
• Creating and reviewing engineering documentation and Bills of Materials (BOMs)
• Working with metallic and composite aircraft structures
• Supporting installation, assembly, and modification activities
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to minimise disruption to production and drive continuous improvement

Candidates must meet UK/EU and ITAR eligibility requirements and successfully complete a Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) check.
