Job summary

Belcan is seeking an experienced Build Support Engineer to join our Airframe Engineering team in Lancashire on a 12-month contract. You’ll provide day-to-day engineering support on the aircraft build line, investigate manufacturing issues, and manage concessions and non-conformances.

The role involves working with CATIA V5 and Teamcenter, reviewing BOMs and documentation, and collaborating with production to keep aircraft production moving while upholding quality and delivery targets.

Qualifications

• Airframe build support and production engineering duties.
• Experience with concessions, waivers and non-conformances.
• Understanding of metallic/composite aircraft structures.
• Detail part, assembly and installation design concepts.
• Proficient with 3D modelling and drawing interpretation.
• BOM creation and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day engineering support to the aircraft build line.
• Investigate and resolve manufacturing and assembly issues.
• Assess and manage concessions, waivers and non-conformances.
• Support design and manufacturing teams with practical solutions.
• Create and review engineering documentation and BOMs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to minimise production disruption.
