  • Create, review and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process plans, control plans and inspection requirements.
  • Investigate production disruptions, non-conformances and process deviations, implementing containment, root-cause analysis and effective corrective actions.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean methods and production data to reduce recurring issues, defects, waste and process variation.
  • Work closely with production, quality, maintenance, design, procurement and supplier teams to resolve technical issues and sustain operational performance.
  • Support process audits, quality reviews and compliance activities in line with AS9100, customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor production and quality KPIs, identify adverse trends and implement actions to improve yield, process capability, delivery and operational efficiency.

Your Profile

Essential skills/knowledge/experience:

  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), technical specifications and manufacturing requirements.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing process validation, production readiness, FAIR, process capability studies, SPC, MSA and Gauge R&R activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to investigate production issues using structured problem-solving methods such as Root Cause Analysis, 8D and 5-Why, and to implement effective corrective actions.
  • Practical experience supporting precision manufacturing, machining, assembly or inspection operations in a production environment.
  • Working knowledge of aerospace quality requirements, including AS9100, non-conformance control, process compliance and quality management systems.
  • Hands-on experience providing shop-floor engineering support, responding to production disruptions and working with operators to restore stable output.
  • Experience using manufacturing systems and data tools such as MES, Teamcenter, Minitab and Microsoft Excel to analyse issues and monitor production performance.
  • Strong analytical, communication and prioritisation skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively across production, quality, maintenance, design and supply chain teams.
