Job Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Dual-Skilled Production Support Engineer to join our thriving UK Medical Device Manufacturing Company within our expanding Engineering Department.

We are looking to recruit a Dual Skill Engineer to form a team of four Engineers on a rotating shift pattern. This team will be responsible for providing primary electrical support for the production machines on the site.

The role involves fault finding, Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), installations, and upgrades to circuitry, as well as mechanically supporting breakdowns as needed. All work must be completed effectively to minimize machine downtime and adhere to Health and Safety Regulations and best practices.

Essential Experience/Qualifications
  • Electrically biased Multi Skill Engineering Qualifications (Level 3 Apprenticeship) or equivalent
  • Experience in an automated production environment
  • Strong Health and Safety knowledge
  • Good relationship-building qualities
  • Understanding of working in a controlled environment
  • Ability to manage downtime and priorities
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Ability to modify machine wiring
  • Ability to read electrical and mechanical engineering drawings
Desirable Experience/Qualifications
  • Injection Moulding experience
  • Knowledge of quick changeover practices
  • 18th Edition wiring regulations
  • PLC knowledge

Hours of Work

Rotating 24-hour shift pattern: 2 Days Working, 2 Days Off, 2 Nights Working, 2 Days Off (7:00am - 7:30pm and 7:00pm - 7:30am)
