Production Supervisor 3rd Shift at our site in Manchester

Your Tasks

Responsibilities:

  • Supports Team Leaders to meet daily production requirements while maintaining high quality and safety standards.
  • Guides, trains, and directs Team Leaders with clear objectives based on the Team Steering Committee’s Plan, without direct ownership.
  • Encourages problem-solving by empowering team members to suggest improvements.
  • Ensures optimal use of resources to support the Business Plan and customer satisfaction.
  • Provides employees with necessary tools and equipment, completing requisition forms as needed.
  • Reports on continuous improvement projects to management.
  • Conducts annual development reviews for direct reports, outlining duties, objectives, and areas for improvement.
  • Participates in APQP and feasibility teams as required.
  • Fairly distributes work and manages overtime and vacation requests considering customer needs.
  • Monitors area efficiency, scrap, rework, staffing, and equipment utilization; conducts root-cause analysis on scrap issues.
  • Ensures accuracy of paperwork at workstations, including SPC charts and safety checks.
  • Coordinates with Quality to ensure adherence to quality processes.
  • Assists with Statistical Process Control and investigations on work-related accidents.
  • Participates in customer site visits to address concerns and determine root causes.
  • Engages in continuous improvement activities and projects.
  • Supports a safe, clean, and organized work environment following 5S principles.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable laws and company policies.
  • Your Profile

    Work Experience:

    • Minimum three (3) years of manufacturing/automotive experience, including supervisory roles.

    Skills:

    • Understanding of machinery, presses, and assembly equipment.
    • Knowledge of lean manufacturing, TS16949, ISO14001 standards.
    • Familiarity with employment laws and safety regulations.

    Education:

    • Relevant technical or manufacturing knowledge as above.
