Job summary

Proactive Global in Woking, Surrey is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead on the shop floor and drive production performance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will supervise and motivate the production team, plan daily activities, hit targets, ensure quality and safety, and work with other departments to keep production running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Experience as Production Supervisor or similar on a shop floor.
• Background in manufacturing, engineering, assembly or fabrication.
• Proven ability to lead a shop-floor team.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Solid understanding of quality, health & safety and production processes.
• Hands-on, proactive leadership style with decisiveness.

Responsibilities

• Lead, support and motivate the production team on a day-to-day basis.
• Plan and coordinate daily production activities to hit targets.
• Ensure production targets, deadlines and quality standards are met.
• Monitor workflow and quickly resolve shop floor issues.
• Support continuous improvement and process optimisation.
• Ensure health & safety procedures are followed at all times.
• Conduct team briefings and toolbox talks.
• Collaborate with other departments to keep production running smoothly.
• Provide hands-on support within the production environment as needed.

Ready to take the lead on the shop floor?

We're looking for an experienced Production Supervisor to join an established manufacturing business in Woking. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys leading people, improving production performance and being hands-on in a fast-paced engineering/manufacturing environment.

The Opportunity

As Production Supervisor, you'll play a key role in ensuring the production operation runs safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Leading, supporting and motivating the production team.
• Planning and coordinating day-to-day production activities.
• Ensuring production targets, deadlines and quality standards are achieved.
• Monitoring workflow and resolving issues on the shop floor.
• Supporting continuous improvement and process optimisation.
• Ensuring health & safety procedures are followed.

What We're Looking For

We'd like to speak with candidates who have:

• Previous experience in a Production Supervisor, Manufacturing Supervisor, Production Team Leader or similar position.
• Experience within a manufacturing, engineering, assembly or fabrication environment.
• Proven experience leading or supervising a shop-floor team.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• A good understanding of quality, health & safety and production processes.
• A hands-on, proactive approach to leadership.
• The confidence to make decisions and resolve production challenges.
