Arch Recruitment Solutions are currently recruiting for a dedicated and skilled Production Supervisor to oversee manufacturing operations across 3 areas - press, machining and fabrication. Ideally, suitable candidates will have experience in all 3 areas. They will possess strong mechanical knowledge, ensuring that production goals are met efficiently and safely. This role requires the ability to lead a team, manage resources effectively, and maintain high standards of quality.

Role responsibilities:

1. Manage and mentor a team of shop floor personnel, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
2. Monitor, control, and review all aspects of manufacturing processes to meet despatch deadlines.
3. Co-ordinate with relevant internal departments to ensure the timely delivery of components.
4. Develop and implement new ideas, working methods, and production techniques.
5. Oversee the maintenance, repair, and upgrading of production equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
6. Work closely with all personnel to ensure quality standards are attained across all production areas.
7. Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations.

Role requirements:

1. Proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing setting is essential.
2. Qualification(s) in mechanical engineering or a minimum of 3 years' experience within the steel or engineering industry.
3. Confident in reading and interpreting engineering CAD drawings.
4. A good level of computer literacy and numeracy skills is required.
5. Microsoft Excel conversant.
6. Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
7. Familiarity with health & safety regulations and quality control standards.
