Production Supervisor

Location: Oldham

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 (DOE) + Benefits

Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive Production Supervisor to join their team during an exciting period of transformation. You will oversee manufacturing operations, ensuring high standards of quality, efficiency, and safety. Managing a team of skilled production staff, you will work closely with senior management to optimize production flow, reduce waste, and meet deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead daily stand-up meetings to address issues, capturing data to monitor performance against KPIs related to Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and People.
  • Plan and schedule production to meet client deadlines.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards, including fire safety regulations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes and reduce waste.
  • Collaborate with design, engineering, and quality teams to resolve issues and maintain product excellence.
  • Manage inventory, equipment maintenance, and procurement alongside supply chain teams.
  • Prepare reports on production metrics for transparency and communication with leadership.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Adhere to safety regulations and organizational standards.
  • Participate in hazard and risk assessments.
  • Monitor visual management systems, report concerns, and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and update standard operating procedures.
  • Apply continuous improvement and problem-solving techniques.
  • Assign tasks and contribute to project delivery.
  • Mentor team members to ensure accountability and best practices.
  • Ensure timely and complete delivery of goods to customers.

Qualifications:

  • IOSH certification (essential)
  • ILM Level 3 or equivalent (essential)
  • Experience with Lean and Six Sigma (desirable)

Remuneration: £35,000 - £40,000 + Benefits
