Job summary

Orange Recruitment is seeking a Shift Supervisor for our production site in Halifax. You will oversee the packaging and manufacturing line, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards and company policies.

The role runs 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with early start times and on-site duties. Responsibilities include supervising operators, checking machines and batch codes, maintaining records, and ensuring products meet specifications.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising production staff in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations in food production.
• Ability to enforce SOPs and PPE compliance.

Responsibilities

• 30 MINUTES LUNCH (UNPAID)

Job description

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervise production operators and packers: paying attention to the following:

• Every process is carried out in accordance with company policy and procedures.
• Every process is carried in accordance with the health and safety regulations.
• The correct PPE is always worn, and the food safety and hygiene regulations are applied.
• Ensure all machines are correctly set up and batch codes are checked.
• Complete and maintain production and cleaning records.
• Ensure the products meet the required specification.
• Complete quality control checks
• All packaging has the correct identification labels attached,

Key holders are responsible for opening and closing the premises: (making sure everything is switch off, the alarm is set, and passwords are not disclosed.

Additional notes

You will be required to fulfil other duties and roles during your working hours.

You are required to always wear the correct uniform & PPE.

Always work within the health and safety guidelines. If in any doubt consult your line manager.
