An established industry player is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead a dedicated team in a dynamic manufacturing environment. The Recruitment Co are recruiting for a Production Supervisor to work for our client based in Glossop, who are a market leader in the manufacturing sector.
1. Purpose of the role
To supervise the designated area of responsibility, including operational and people responsibility for specific assets, to achieve the overall business targets.
2. Scope of the role
Supervisory responsibility for specific assets within the designated area of production (Underlay). The Production Supervisor reports to the Production Manager. Reporting to the job holder are: Production Operatives.

4. Experience and background requirements
3 - 5 years proven experience in a similar role, ILM qualification, previous experience in a similar industry.
5. Technical / specialized knowledge
Functional knowledge: ILM Qualification (desirable), IOSH (desirable), 3 - 5 years proven experience (essential).
Problem solving: Pragmatic and resilient problem solver, calm under pressure. Flexible approach to meeting the business needs, people focused, can-do attitude, CI mentality and results-driven. (essential)
Nature and area of impact: The ability to plan, organise and manage people and implement changes as directed by the PM. Experience of managing safely in own area of responsibility. (essential)
Communication skills: Good verbal and written communication skills, able to communicate well with own team and colleagues. Must possess good I.T skills (Outlook, Word, Excel). (essential). Must have used SAP (desirable).
The working hours for this role will be Monday - Friday on a rotating 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm shift, with a need for flexibility in working extended hours due to the demand as and when the company requires.
The pay rate will be £16.30 per hour - this equates to £33,904 per annum.
This role is temporary to permanent after 13 weeks.
