We re looking for a Mechanical Engineering Supervisor to lead a key manufacturing department within a respected and long-standing local business. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a solid engineering background who enjoys problem-solving, team leadership, and taking ownership on the shop floor.

What you ll be doing:

  • Running and organising the day-to-day operations of a department of this busy production facility
  • Supporting fault finding and tool changes on mechanical machinery
  • Liaising with production teams and the Factory Manager to meet daily and weekly targets
  • Training and mentoring operatives to ensure flexibility across the team
  • Supporting Gemba walks and continuous improvement activity
  • Collaborating with Toolroom and Maintenance to ensure optimal machine performance

What you ll need:

  • Engineering qualifications HNC, apprenticeship or similar mechanical/production background
  • Hands-on experience in a mechanical or manufacturing setting, ideally supervising others
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and people management
  • Experience working with mechanical tools, jigs and fixtures preferred
