Qualifications

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment, ideally with some supervisory experience.
• Willing to be hands-on and learn all aspects of the operation.
• Good understanding of health & safety practices and compliance requirements.
• Interest or experience in continuous improvement (Lean, 5S, Kaizen advantageous).
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate and support a team.
• Able to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
• A full, valid forklift licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing daily production activities, ensuring targets, schedules and quality standards are consistently achieved.
• Leading from the front on the shop floor, supporting and performing operational tasks as needed.
• Taking responsibility for site operations in the Manager's absence.
• Promoting a strong health & safety culture, ensuring policies are followed and actively participating in audits and risk assessments.
• Identifying and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to drive efficiency and reduce waste.
• Monitoring inventory levels and ensuring machinery and equipment are properly maintained to minimise downtime.

Monday to Friday 7.30am 4pm

GBP30k - GBP35k dependent on experience
