Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Production Supervisor to oversee joinery workshop operations, with a strong emphasis on material take-off and breakout planning for manufacturing. This role ensures that production runs smoothly, efficiently, and on schedule, while maintaining high standards of quality and cost control.

What you'll do

The following reflect the main tasks associated with the position and are not intended to be exclusive or exhaustive:

  • Plan manufacturing and dispatch of product to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Working closely with the design team, interpret technical drawings and specifications to create cutting lists and breakout schedules.
  • Coordinate with design and estimating teams to validate quantities and dimensions.
  • Ensure timely ordering of materials based on take-off data.
  • Allocate tasks to workshop teams, ensuring balanced workloads and efficient output.
  • Monitor progress and adjust plans to meet delivery deadlines.
  • Responsible for leading and managing the workshop production team.
  • Promote high standards for quality of work, inspect work at key stages to ensure accuracy and craftsmanship.
  • Ensure safe working practises are followed and work with the Health and Safety team to implement changes and procedures when required.
  • Any other duties, within reason and capability, as agreed with the Senior Managers.

As a Production Supervisor your main skills and experience should include:

  • Excellent knowledge within joinery manufacturing.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a supervisory role within joinery manufacturing.
  • Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings and technical specifications.
  • Strong understanding of material take-off and breakout processes.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • A highly motivated attitude.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritise, plan and allocate workload.
  • Good computer skills.
