Job Description

Ultra Precision Control Systems (PCS) is seeking a Production Supervisor to join our manufacturing team.

Job Purpose:

• Manage and lead a small team of operations production staff.
• Oversee holidays, sickness, timekeeping, and discipline to ensure continuous production.
• Collaborate with the Production Manager to meet monthly production plans.
• Monitor team performance using established KPIs.
• Manage labor bookings and review staffing needs.
• Hold daily team meetings to review progress and communicate issues.
• Assist in creating shop order paperwork, including route cards.
• Ensure timely turnaround of shop orders.
• Close completed shop orders and transfer parts into stock.
• Scan completed paperwork into the company's MRP system.
• Maintain an effective 6S and FOD program within the team.
• Identify skills gaps and maintain a skills matrix for team development.
• Coordinate with support teams to manage non-conforming materials and resolve production issues promptly.
• Ensure safe operation and management of equipment and machinery.
• Discuss and agree on overtime requirements with the Production Manager in advance.
• Perform other duties as reasonably required.
