Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a Production Supervisor based in Bedford to join one of our clients on a full-time permanent basis.

Salary and Benefits
  • Salary: £34,000 per annum
  • Location: Bedford
  • Type of Contract: Permanent
  • Hours: Monday - Thursday 8:15am - 4:45pm, Fridays 8:15am - 1:45pm

Responsibilities
  • Lead the day-to-day manufacturing operations.
  • Supervise daily assembly and testing.
  • Schedule workloads, allocate resources and monitor progress against targets.
  • Lead the production team, assisting with performance reviews, training and support.
  • Root cause analysis.
  • Lean manufacturing, 5S and Kaizen initiatives.
  • Track and report production performance against key metrics.
Requirements
  • Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing qualifications.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience supervising and leading a team.
  • Manufacturing environment experience ideally within heavy machinery, rotating equipment or precision components.
  • Working knowledge of machining, assembly and testing processes.
  • Lean manufacturing, 5S and Kaizen knowledge.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
