Job Description

The Medical Manufacturing Production Supervisor, reporting to the Production Manager, is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations to meet established goals and objectives while adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and company policies. This salaried role may occasionally require extended work hours or overtime, depending on production needs and business priorities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide leadership, direction, and oversight to the Production Team to ensure a quality manufactured product.
  • Enforce compliance with all Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures as defined by the company's policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Ensure that the production schedule is followed to maintain correct levels of product availability.
  • Oversee and assist in set-ups and start-ups of production equipment daily.
  • Complete work orders, records, and documentation accurately, completely, and in detail.
  • Provide training to Operators as needed.
  • Evaluate the work environment, including facilities, equipment, and processes related to safety. Recommend improvements and, upon approval, implement them.
  • Ensure and perform preventive and general maintenance as required, including housekeeping duties in environmentally controlled areas.
  • Contribute to the review of methods, procedures, and processes to determine improvements related to quality and cost to increase efficiencies. Upon approval, make recommendations and implement them.
  • Be responsive and flexible to customer demands.
  • Promote safety, quality, and compliance among the team while maintaining Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Support Sales & Operating Plan (S&OP) requirements.
  • Anticipate changes in requirements.
  • Manage problems and concerns effectively.
Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma required; Associate's Degree a plus.
  • 6+ years of medical device manufacturing experience, preferably with catheters.
  • 4+ years of Lead/Supervisor experience.
  • Experience with extrusion equipment is a plus.
Skills & Ability
  • Demonstrated leadership ability.
  • Continuous improvement skills.
  • Experience supervising and training operators, problem resolution, and conflict management.
  • Strong computer application knowledge.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
