• Ensure staff follow procedures, quality standards, and safety policies.

Experience & Skills

• Machine shop experience is not required, an interest in automotive/motorsport, aerospace and engineering would be preferred.
• Previous experience in a production/manufacturing supervisor or team leadership role.
• Progress chasing experience.
• Strong people management and communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
• Hands on, proactive approach with good problem solving-skills.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel).

Main Duties / Responsibilities

• Supervise the Shop Floor to ensure efficient workflow, attendance, and adherence to production schedules.
• Progress-chase jobs through the Shop Floor collaborating with various teams and proactively identifying then resolving bottlenecks, ensuring production schedules are achieved.
• Conduct regular team briefings to communicate priorities, deadlines, and any changes to schedules or processes.
• Escalate issues affecting production or delivery timelines to relevant departments/senior managers.
• Ensure staff follow company procedures, quality standards and health & safety policies.
• Maintain accurate records of production performance and report regularly to senior management and during meetings.
