Job description

Flexsource NI are currently recruiting for a Production Supervisor on a permanent full time basis

Responsibilities:

·Supervise and lead a team of 15+ staff across various disciplines, including welding, painting, and assembly

·Plan and coordinate the production workflow to ensure smooth and efficient operations

·Monitor and ensure production deadlines are consistently met across all stages

·Oversee and uphold high standards of quality throughout the production process

·Conduct daily production meetings to align team objectives and resolve operational challenges

·Implement and drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing or 5S principles

·Coach, mentor, and support the development of team members to enhance skills and performance

·Collaborate with engineering, quality, and logistics teams to ensure seamless cross-functional operations

·Track key production metrics (e.g. output, downtime, defects) and provide regular performance updates

·Ensure a safe working environment and adherence to all health and safety regulations

Requirements:

·Minimum 2 years of experience working as a Production Supervisor, with experience in planning, meeting deadlines and quality control checks

·Previous experience within the engineering industry, ideally with commercial vehicles

·Previous hands on experience, for example as a commercial fitter or welder

·Experience in Lean Manufacturing principles would be advantageous

·A forklift licensee would be advantageous
