Production Supervisor Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Supervisor to oversee our printing and binding operations during the 2nd shift. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing production processes, ensuring quality standards, and leading a team to achieve operational goals.

Production Supervisor Key Responsibilities:

- Supervise and coordinate daily production activities in the printing and binding department.

- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.

- Monitor production schedules and adjust as necessary to meet deadlines.

- Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to enhance performance and productivity.

- Implement quality control measures to ensure products meet specifications.

- Collaborate with other departments to optimize workflow and resolve any production issues.

- Maintain accurate production records and reports for management review.

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.

Production Supervisor Skills and Qualifications:

Requirements:

Production Supervisor Education and/or Experience

Associate's degree in business/management or related field; or 3 to 5 years printing experience and/or 3 to 5 years of management experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Production Supervisor Physical and Working Conditions

The job is performed in a manufacturing facility with exposure to large equipment, noise, and materials related to the printing process. The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.

  • Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to occasionally bend, stoop or kneel.
  • Ability to use hands and arms to type, reach, handle or feel.
  • Ability to regularly lift/move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift/move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds.
