Production Shift Manager

Location: Elland

Working Days: Monday - Friday

Salary: GBP30,000 - GBP45,000 (Dependent on Experience)

Shift Hours: 2PM - 10PM

My client, a leading manufacturer within their field, is seeking an experienced Production Shift Manager to join their team due to continued growth and development.

The ideal candidate will have experience working within an assembly environment where operators have used hand tools.

Production Shift Manager Requirements:

• Strong leadership skills with good interpersonal and people management abilities.
• Experience managing a team, ideally within the manufacturing industry.
• Good problem-solving skills and adaptability.
• Experience inputting production data into a CRM system.
• Ability to make decisions regarding safety and operational issues.
• Self-motivated with team motivational skills.
• Proactive with minimal supervision needed.
• Experience with Continuous Improvement (desirable).

Production Shift Manager Duties:

• Open and close the site and carry out daily inspections.
• Arrange, produce, and document shift patterns.
• Plan and communicate work plans effectively to your team.
• Measure performance and ensure cost and quality KPIs are achieved.
• Ensure compliance with company regulations, including working hours, health and safety, and site permitting.
• Manage and adjust labour resources as needed.
• Maintain high standards of discipline and cleanliness.
• Provide training, coaching, and support to the team.
• Performance management of staff, including motivational leadership and disciplinary matters.
• Adhere to standard operating procedures, safe systems of work, and other health and safety requirements.
• Assist with general maintenance of the site and equipment.
• Manage the unloading and loading of vehicles according to the traffic management plan.
• Prepare the site for receipt of materials, including new and projected volumes.
• Ensure permit requirements are met.
