Job summary

Russell Taylor Group is seeking an experienced Shift Manager for our Ellesmere Port site. You will lead production teams on rotating shifts (6-2, 2-10, 10-6) to deliver targets safely and efficiently.

The role focuses on reducing downtime, coordinating with Maintenance and Technical teams, and enforcing Health & Safety, Quality and company standards. Previous supervisory experience in manufacturing and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, production, or industrial environments.
• Proven supervisory or shift management experience.
• Strong health and safety understanding.
• Ability to lead and develop teams in fast-paced settings.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Experience dealing with HR-related matters.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise and motivate teams on shift.
• Ensure activities meet safety, quality and cost standards.
• Monitor performance against output and quality targets.
• Minimise downtime with maintenance and technical teams.
• Manage staffing, handovers and daily reporting.
• Drive continuous improvement across the site.
• Ensure policies and standards are followed.
• Respond to operational issues as they arise.
• Develop and support your team, including HR matters.
