Job summary

Cummins is seeking an enthusiastic Supply Chain Planning placement student to join our Production Scheduling unit in Huddersfield. You’ll learn how a major global organization operates, gaining tools and exposure to become an industry expert.

The role is available for a placement year commencing Summer 2027, onsite for part of the week with travel/relocation as needed. Working with cross-functional teams, you will develop and improve foundational planning and control, manipulate data to support

Qualifications

Pursuing a degree in Business Studies, Supply Chain, Transportation & Logistics with modules in production/manufacturing systems and inventory controls.
Strong communication, organisational and time management skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
Eager to learn and willing to take on responsibility.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Materials, Demand Management, Account Management and Operations to plan production and inventory.
Assist in improving internal inventory management processes and 3PL tracking.
Help resolve issues identified by team and supported functions.
Work with cross-functional teams to enhance planning and control foundations.
Analyze data to inform actions and implement timely solutions.
Represent Cummins Turbo Technologies to customers and suppliers.
