Production Scheduler

Job Title: Production Planner

Responsibilities:

1. Review open sales orders to determine customer requirements.
2. Coordinate delivery of parts to expedite the flow of material to meet production schedules.
3. Utilize MRP system to auto-generate manufacturing work orders.
4. Release component production work orders to the warehouse for kit picking.
5. Coordinate between warehouse and purchasing on material shortages.
6. Notify Sales of any schedule impacts to customers.
7. Coordinate/expedite manufacturing builds to ensure schedules are achieved.
8. Complete status reports, such as production progress, customer information, and materials inventory.
9. Exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate actions.
10. Perform other duties as required.

Candidate Requirements:

• Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and techniques for maximizing effective manufacturing and distribution.
• Ability to interact well with internal and external customers.
• Effective communication skills in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Proficient use of computer systems and software applications.
• In-depth knowledge of ERP or MRP software preferred.
• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous production planning experience in a related industry.
• Good communication skills.
