A leading engineering staffing provider is seeking a Production Scheduler to coordinate the flow of work and materials in their manufacturing plant. The ideal candidate will need a proven track record in scheduling, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This 12-month contract role is based on-site in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire.

Qualifications

Job description

Role: Production Scheduler

Location: Stonehouse, Gloucester, GL10

Rate: £18.00 per hour + holiday pay

Contract: 12 months +

Our clients are a well-established leading company within the manufacturing and engineering field. They are seeking an experienced Production Scheduler to be based on-site in Stonehouse, GL10.

The Production Scheduler will coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments of our manufacturing plant.

Responsibilities include reviewing and distributing production, work, and shipment schedules; conferring with department supervisors to determine progress of work and completion dates; and compiling reports on progress of work, inventory levels, costs, and production problems.

Responsibilities of the Production Scheduler
  • Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals
  • Review documents such as production schedules, work orders, or staffing tables, to determine personnel or materials requirements or material priorities
  • Revise production schedules when required due to design changes, labour or material shortages, backlogs, or other interruptions
  • Estimate rates of production and completion dates for tasks
  • Coordinate production with other functional areas such as sales, marketing, and quality control
  • You will require a:
  • Proven track record as a Production Scheduler, Planner or similar role
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and procedures
  • Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
