The targeted hiring range for this full-time position is $53,200 - $81,100 depending on qualifications; however, the expanded salary range provides opportunities for advancement. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and job location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, competencies, experience, and relevant education, training or a combination of these things and market demand. Job Description

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:

The Production Scheduler is responsible for planning and coordinating the production process, ensuring that manufacturing operations are carried out efficiently, meet customer demands, and are completed on time. This role involves scheduling production runs, monitoring inventory levels, adjusting production schedules based on changing requirements, and ensuring optimal resource utilization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

Production Scheduling:

  • Create, maintain, and adjust production schedules to meet customer orders and demand forecasts.
  • Coordinate with different departments (e.g., production, procurement, and quality control) to ensure smooth operations.
  • Monitor progress of production and adjust schedules as necessary to address delays or changes in priorities.

Inventory Management:

  • Ensure that materials and components are available for production on time by working with inventory management teams.
  • Monitor raw material inventory levels and forecast future needs to avoid shortages or overstock situations.

Data Analysis & Reporting:

  • Analyze production data to identify trends and potential areas for improvement in scheduling efficiency.
  • Provide regular reports on production schedules, timelines, and performance metrics to management.

Problem Resolution:

  • Identify potential scheduling conflicts or bottlenecks and develop strategies to resolve issues.
  • Work closely with production teams to address problems that may arise during the production process.
Qualifications

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum Education Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college/technical school (Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or Accounting preferred)
  • Minimum Experience Two years related experience/training (production, scheduling or supply chain management experience strongly preferred); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in ERP software, Excel, and scheduling tools.
