Job description

This role involves owning and controlling sales orders, managing customer-designated packaging, and supporting the Group Leader with administrative duties. The successful candidate will coordinate and document inbound and outbound packaging requirements to support current and new products.

Client Details

This is a fixed-term contract role with a medium-sized company in the industrial and manufacturing sector, committed to delivering high-quality products and maintaining an efficient supply chain.

Responsibilities

  • Manage PPI, Plan Rota (considering mix and current VB's), and update performance metrics.
  • Handle SCR debiting (Quality).
  • Perform VB corrections, control plans, and generate reports to address issues.
  • Resolve invoice and subcontractor queries daily as needed.
  • Manage manual transactions and control them accordingly.
  • Generate and cancel Manufacturing Orders.
  • Create shop floor working plans and compare with Manufacturing Orders.
  • Address scrap queries and fix errors.
  • Check process flows against BOMs.
  • Arrange transportation.
  • Report daily quarantine status.
  • Maintain inbound and outbound packaging data forms and ensure supplier and customer approvals via portals.
  • Keep electronic and hard copy records for review by logistics and production teams.
  • Assess current inbound packaging types and specifications.
  • Design or specify new/replacement packaging specifications.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and cleanliness following 5S principles.
  • Perform other duties as needed to support business operations.

Candidate Profile

The ideal Logistics Planner will have:

  • At least 1 year of experience in a similar environment.
  • Good knowledge of ERP and MRP systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Experience working in a team.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to influence others and work with suppliers effectively.
