Production & Quality Engineer – £32,000 per year + Benefits – Telford TF1

The Role

Are you experienced in production engineering within a manufacturing environment? Do you have a strong background in ensuring high-quality standards are maintained in every phase of production?

We are an expanding Sheet Metal Fabrication Company based in Telford, seeking an experienced Production & Quality Engineer to support our Production Manager. If you're ready to apply your skills in a dynamic role that offers room to grow, we want to hear from you.

In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the production process runs smoothly, from order receipt to dispatch. You'll be involved in maintaining high-quality standards and collaborating with the team to deliver quality components on time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To be involved in all orders from receipt to despatch
  • Detailed working knowledge of technical drawings and documentation
  • Working knowledge of mechanical engineering practices
  • Producing quality components on time
  • Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with the requirements to determine if the process has been completed correctly
  • Implement quality control procedures
  • Achieve a total quality ethos and quality commitment to our customers

The Company

We are an engineering company with 40 years experience in the field of Precision and Production Engineering, supplying a wide range of industries including point of sale components, garden and agricultural products, commercial street furniture, industrial racking, commercial automotive vehicle industry and architectural facades and fascia.

The Person

  • Experience of managing a team
  • Experience of working with Amada Laser/Punch Press software and machinery
  • Experience of assembly work
  • Fully understand the reading of technical engineering drawings and geometric tolerances and how they relate to the finished part.
  • Working with minimum supervision
  • Reliable, dependable and trustworthy
