Production Quality Engineer – Horsham - Hybrid
£34,000 - £42,000

We are seeking a motivated Production Quality Engineer to join a dynamic Quality Assurance team. Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring all products meet the highest quality standards while driving continuous improvement across production.

Working for a fire control and surveillance specialist, this is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer with a strong quality background in manufacturing, defence, aerospace, or automotive environments to take the next step in their career.

Responsibilities
  • Check final product and intermediate assemblies for conformity.
  • Oversee and support inspection of flagged parts against engineering drawings.
  • Conduct product and production process audits.
  • Support and promote continuous improvement and lean initiatives, including 5S/6S.
  • Lead and assist with investigations into non-conformances, ensuring corrective actions are documented and implemented.
  • Request and review supplier corrective action reports.
  • Support prototypes and NPI with manufacturing readiness reviews.
  • Participate in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), verifying results and providing sign-off.
  • Assist with 8D investigations and cross-functional root cause analysis.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in quality assurance within lean, engineering, defence, automotive, or aerospace manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO standards, particularly ISO 9001.
  • Experience with quality sign-off responsibilities.
  • Familiarity with structured problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa).
