Job summary

Portsmouth Water cherche un Technicien en Processus de Production pour rejoindre son département Production. Le candidat sera chargé de la surveillance, de l'exploitation et de l'optimisation des installations de production de l'eau, garantissant la qualité et la sécurité de l'alimentation en eau. Vous aurez des responsabilités variées, y compris la formation des collègues, le contrôle des processus et l'application de normes de sécurité strictes. Des horaires de travail flexibles peuvent être discutés lors de l'entretien.

Qualifications

• Qualification dans les opérations de l'eau est requise.

Portsmouth Water are delighted to have an opening for a Production Process Technician to join our highly regarded Production Department to monitor, operate, maintain and optimise our production assets. This role is key in ensuring delivery of safe and wholesome drinking water to our consumers.

What will you be doing?
Key Responsibilities

Visit water treatment works, pumping stations and reservoirs to carry out essential duties and monitor the performance and operability of our assets.

Data collection of water quality and asset performance, recording routine activities and work completed.

Train and mentor colleagues within Production and other areas of the business, keeping records of competency and continuous improvement.

Provide support to colleagues in the field where complex process issues arise.

Operate and maintain treatment works assets, monitoring, recording and interpreting water samples to ensure treatment process are working effectively.

Monitor external activities in the areas surrounding our assets for anything that may affect the integrity of the water sources or treatment processes.

Creating and reviewing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), carrying out risk assessments, optimising chemical dosing, investigating root causes of water quality issues and advising on corrective actions.

Assist with optimising the operation of our production assets to ensure that water quality continues to meet all internal standards and statutory requirements at each treatment stage, whilst optimising energy, quality and performance.

Work closely with Process Science and to have collective responsibility for water quality.

Ensure the appearance, cleanliness and operation of our sites meets company standards, whilst maintaining water quality and hygiene standards.

Ensure all work is carried out in line with the Company’s Water Production procedures and in full compliance with on-site Health and Safety and quality standards.

What do you need?
Skills, Qualifications & Competencies

Industry water operations related qualification E.g. CABWI Level 4 in Water Operations

EUSR National Water Hygiene (Blue) Card/SHEA Water (Can be provided if required)

An advanced understanding of water treatment and distribution processes, and the regulations that govern them.

Experience working with SCADA/HMI process control systems

Experience working with chemicals, COSHH awareness

Experience working in Medium/High Risk Confined Spaces

Excellent report-writing, with an emphasis on clarity and attention to detail, often working to tight deadlines.

Analytical with proven experience of data processing, mapping, and auditing.

Empathetic, self-aware, and comfortable with constructively challenging areas that could be improved.

Adaptable and able to prioritise workload and respond quickly to changing business needs

Passionate about providing an excellent service, to our customer, colleagues and across the Water Industry.

Full Driving Licence to support travel requirements across sites.
