Job summary

Purely Recruitment Solutions Ltd. is assisting a client in Lambourn Woodlands to recruit an Operations & Production Planning Manager. The role focuses on planning and coordinating daily blending, toll manufacturing, and packaging schedules to ensure on‑time deliveries.

You will lead production teams, uphold health, safety and environmental standards, and drive continuous improvement with lean methods. The office-based position requires regular site presence and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 3 years of operational management experience in a fast paced planning/operational environment.
• Technical Skills: Proficient across standard IT formats, MRP/ERP systems, production scheduling and daily problem solving.
• Leadership: Proven track record of managing diverse production teams and driving a positive workplace culture.
• Role: Office-based but regularly covering the manufacturing site and interacting with staff.
• Free parking.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and direct daily blending, toll manufacturing, and packaging schedules to ensure on-time delivery.
• Ensure health, safety, and environmental standards across the site.
• Lead, mentor, and upskill production supervisors and operators.
• Identify bottlenecks and apply lean manufacturing principles to boost yield and reduce waste.
• Manage labour, materials, and equipment scheduling to optimise plant capacity.
• Balance customer orders with internal production needs to support line operations.
• Manage short/long-term order changes and adjust schedules accordingly.
• Collaborate with Projects and Maintenance teams to plan downtime with minimal disruption.
• Maintain strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
