Job summary

Hariley Solutions West Midlands is seeking a Production Planning Lead in Wednesbury. The role combines hands-on planning with office work and regular shopfloor time to ensure production runs smoothly and customer requirements are met.

You will coordinate materials, labour, and machinery, build BOMs, monitor throughput, and work with Production, Engineering, Quality and Purchasing to resolve delays and optimise efficiency.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years' experience in production planning.
• Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong ability to prioritise workloads and manage changing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plan production equipment, raw materials and labour requirements.
• Build BOMs and detail materials for production.
• Monitor progress and report throughput.
• Identify priority orders and plan accordingly.
• Resolve delays, shortages, breakdowns and quality issues with teams.
• Coordinate with Purchasing on material needs.
• Facilitate meetings on contracts, production and process improvements.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Prepare and maintain production paperwork per ISO 9001.
• Support other production planning and operational activities.
