Are you looking for the opportunity to help drive change throughout the Anglian Water region?
Are you looking to utilise your operational experience and strong influencing skills to drive data led decisions? If so, we may have the role for you.
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Production Planning team as a Production Planning Engineer. Production Planning at its simplest is the activities that get the right quality and quantity of water where it needs to be, when it needs to be there by developing short, medium and long-term coordinated regionalplans that respond to changing conditions. The Production Planning team is required to work closely with a wide variety of business units including Water Supply operational teams, Tactical Operations, Networks and Water Resources to ensure the Production Plans are accurate and attainable.
What will you be doing?
The Production Planning Engineer will be responsible for producing accurate and implementable production plans that provide daily production targets over weekly and monthly timespans. Supporting the Production Planning Manager, you will be responsible for using an array of tools and software, as well as some manual intervention, to ensure plans are produced which assist key decision making across the team. By maintaining a close working relationship with key stakeholders, you will communicate required actions to implement the plan and manage any changes that may be required.
We are looking for someone with previous experience in an operational role, with a focus on operational decision making. The role requires an individual with strong knowledge of system operation, as well as experience of operational teams, to ensure the plans produced have the desired results. You will be an active and specialist user of production planning software and tools and will be expected to develop your own capabilities, as well as the team around you, to utilise these tools. In addition, as a primary user of the production planning software, you will be well placed to drive the transition towards a new operating model within water supply utilising proactive decision making and supporting maintenance delivery schemes.
